I saw this vehicle on a game I've been playing: the 57mm Gun Motor Carriage T49. An experimental vehicle; the predecessor to the M18 Hellcat. I've been looking and I know there are no kits out there of this-styrene, resin, whatever-there's none. Only one was made (not including another version the T67- same chassis and hull, but open top turret and 75mm gun) and had passed trials but was never produced.
That is the T49. I am looking for anymore pictures, diagrams, specifications, etc. I'd like to be able to get a company to try to produce this tank as a kit or possibly scratch build it myself. But first, obviously, more information and specifications are needed.
There was only 1 M18 Super Hellcat (the M18 hull with a M36 Jackson turret and 90mm gun on it) produced and only one T49. So if the Super Hellcat is in a kit, why not a T49?

Because all the parts needed for a Super Hellcat are already produced in other kits.

Point taken. But still, any help finding any other information? I already exhausted Google searches.

Howdy
I found some info in an old copy of AFV Weapons Profiles 26
small quote on the T49.
A memo to the General Staff Dated December 2, 1941 recommended that a 37mm Gun Motor Carriage with a Christie type suspension be developed. At the time a Tank Destroyer was defined as differing from a tank in having thinner armor, greater speed and an open turret. Such a vehicle was lighter, had greater crew vision, but gave less protection.
On April 1, 1941, Ordnance convinced G3 that the 57mm M1 gun should be used in place of the 37mm gun planned. An agreement was made to make to prototypes for testing.
the T49 Gun Motor Carriage was to be highly mobile, weight about 12 tons and have a crew of 5, and be able to reach 50 mph in speed. Armor was to be 7/8 inch on the turret, hull front and sides, and top and bottom to be 3/8 of an inch thick.
After a test of the first prototype the Ordnance department agreed to develop the 2nd prototype with the 75 mm M3 gun from the sherman tank and it was to be known as the T67.
and thats all all the info about it in that.. the photo they show is the 2nd one you posted.

Understandable. If I was less serious, I'd say "But isn't a nice looking tank?" but I won't. But either way, to scratch it, I'd need diagrams and such... Which I can't find anywhere.

Hello Michael,
I found this in one of my books: The 57mm T49 and 75mm T67 was soon replaced by the 76mm model which used a more conventional engine arrangement. Knowned as the 76mm gun motor Carriage T70, it carried a completely redesigned hull which was welded using up to 1/2 inch armor on front, sides and rear, 5/16 on top and1/4 on bottom.
The turrent was 1/2 inch on sides and rear, 3/4 to 1 inch on front (including gunshield).
A claen and compact design, it was 17 feet 4 3/4 long, 9 feet 2 inches wide, and 7 feet 10 1/2 inches tall at the top of the turrent. it weighted 18 1/2 tons with a continental air-cooled radical model R975-C1 or C4 gasoline engine( nine cylinders 973 cubic inches, 350 horsepower at 2400 rpm for the C1, 400 horsepower for the C4) could hustle the T70 at 55 MPH.
came with a 5 man crew.
delberts photo looks like it, more then yours.
just a little info.

There's a side view drawing (by D.P.Dyer) of the T49 here :
