This is awesome, but I'm starting to suspect a collaboration between the company behind World of Tanks and Amusing Hobby when it comes to these obscure tanks. They've previously released the VK 30.02D and the Löwe and now the Leichter Löwe, which was just recently released in World of Tanks.

DML have had a number of VK 30. and VK 45. type vehicles though. If Wargaming and Amusing were collaborating don't you think we would see some of the Soviet Objykt (other than the one that two? I think, other companies have done recently)types that are so popular in game?

Looks very interesting and think I will be getting one as well. It will dwarf my Sturer Emil!

This thing never made it beyond wooden desk concept model stage. There were no prototypes.

Could be that they simply haven't been able to release those yet. Amusing is releasing their kits at a fairly slow pace so far.

Anyways, I might be getting this kit since I've already got the Löwe in my stash.

According to a blog of one of the developers, looks like Wargaming (the company behind WOT) is not happy with this model being made (he is even linking to this topic lol). Because even though it is based on a real design, as far as i know there arent any drawings/photos of the real thing except this drawing and the model looks like its been completely based on the model from WOT

Hoping it well get passed through tho, i really want this kit.

&:) Sorry for that your assumption is wrong. No collaboration w/WOT at all. The motivation or reason of Amusing Hobby always rolling out paper panzers is just quite simple: their main investor has the addiction to some kind of fantastic or odd weaponry. I know the guy who was the copartner and creator of Amusing Hobby (also designed the first release--35A003, a thumbs up NbFz in 1:35 scale).

I am personally reluctant to accept that kit, even as a "1946" Panzer, because of the cast turret. The German tank industry simply didn't use large castings. I suspect the WW2 model builder was the only person who saw things that way.
