hey everyone

im in the process of building academys flakpanzer wirbelwind - the kit is fine and building reasonably straightfoward, but im getting near to the point of painting. The wirbels were deployed near the end of the war and i was wondering if, being that by this time ('44 and onwards) that the german army was being pushed back so much, that wirbelwinds were mainly painted camoflage - i know they were only used in limited numbers, and my dio is an urban one - so would it be accurate if i painted it in a camoflage scheme - ive seen only a few pics and some show camo, others show plain, so im not sure which is best...

could anyone advise?

cheers, alpha

they where painted dark yellow,.
with a camo of red brown or drak green,
but some tank crews just did red brown alone or they used the drak green with it,
but it was up to the tank crew if they had time to put camo on it they did.
i built this kit a few years ago the same one, it was nice kit.
mine broke lol. but good luck with yours
here is a pic its in camo

Camo scheme is fine. Go here http://www.rememberseptember44.com/index3.htm and you'll see urban base operations in camo schemes.
This is what I'm going to attempt with my RMG dio.
