Does anyone have any idea if the refitting of the Jackals being returned to the UK for use in the Light Cavalry units will include a repaint in the standard Nato green?

Logic would say yes but it's gonna be a big job repainting over the factory paint esp when you add in all of the rest of the fleet that's returning in desert yellow .....

It is my understanding that during the refurbishment program, which includes a complete strip down to the chassis, many upgrades and repaint to the present day standard Eggshell (not flat) finish Green will be part of that process.
Some units at the regimental level will most likely add the Black, depending on the role they are assigned after they return.

Some vehicles being held in reserve (depots) are slated to retain the Desert Tan finish.
Barracuda camo attachment strips will be part of the upgrade along with different under belly re enforcement.

Thanks very much Keith, that was just the answer I was looking for. I looked at the vehicle quantities assigned to the cav and even allowing for other assignments I figured there'd be a decent sized reserve. It make sense for that to be in Desert so it's ready for rapid deployment.
