This is my first boat I have made, I was going go do a beach scene, but I bottled it, as my figure painting needs much improvement before I can do something like that
The figures are Master box and Tamiya. The LCVP is an italeri one, nicr build apart from the figures which I think need improving
The paint job on the boat was grey and blue mixed together and different variants
comments welcome

Hi Gary,
The LCVP is a nice build. I'd loose the guy throwing the grenade, about the last thing you'd want someone trying to do getting off a boat. He'd be OK on land.
Are these the Ranger figures? If so they landed from LCAs on D Day, but that aside there is a nice sense of movement in the troops,
Cheers
Al

Are you sure he is throwing a grenade? Looks to me like he is waving the men on.

Maybe he got 'butter-fingers' at the wrong time. "Oooops! Did anybody see my grenade?"

Looks to me the same way.
Anyway, great job Gary.I wouldn't worry about your figure painting ,they're quite well done and this is just screaming for a dio.Put it on a beach and water effects and you've got a true winner.

Thanks for the comments
DJ - The colours i think were tamiaya - german grey and flat blue then white to lighten the colours. The bottom 0f the boat was hull red and flat red added
Neil - I dont think they are rangers, they are the master box d-day ones and tamaiya assault troops
Darrel = he is supposed to be waving the troops, i as was not too sure about him, i just addded him to make the boat look a bit more full.

Ahoy Gary,
Super job! Well painted and weathered...not overdone.
Your figures look good too.
My overall comment, had you left the boat without
figures, then the stand would have sufficed but since
you added the figures, I think this boat deserves a beach.
It will be a real eye-catcher...go for it!
Again well done.
Cheers,
Joe
