Hi all,
After a long time doing modern kits I wanted to go back again to some wwII dios.
I have the British LRDG Command Car from Tamiya.Nice kit with MB figures. My question is,I'd like to do a dio with them stuck by a small oais.
Is there a anyone else besides Verlinden that carries camels and figures that could fit?

Hey Tom, if you can find one, maybe e-bay? Heller made a kit, the Groupe De Combat France. It was the Sahara set. Had a Legonire with an Arab sitting on a camel. The camel was bare and the saddle had to be added if I remember rightly, which sometime I wonder, huh . The camel was very good for such an early kit. I think that Toms Originals has a camel too, check the web site. bob d.

If you can wait till the middle of February I will be releasing a set of camels and a French Camel Corp figure "Mahariste".
I got the masters for some "OOP" camels in 1/35 scale and will be releasing them under the "Tiger Werke" label.

Watch out!
The last reference shows a ' Camelus Bactrianus Ferus', a species which lives in central Asia. It has two fat humps.
The one needed for a North African or Middle East dio would be ' Camelus Dromedaris'. Which has only one fat hump.

Thanks for the help guys.
Jim,I'm going for the MB set.
I know I can trust the quality and for $14 I'm well ahead with 5 figures and a camel.I think I'll be OK with the hump question, the saddle seems to cover all,not showing 1 or 2.
Thanks again.

Sorry Tom, but there is more difference between NA and CA camels than the number of humps!!!!
The 2 are as much alike as an arab race horse and a donkey!!!
Cheers

Thanks Romain,I'm sure there is,but the people that will see the finished product, besides on here, wouldn't likely even know about the humps.
