I want to do a what if diorama of a Russian defensive position near berlin if there was a NATO vs. USSR beat down drag out fight
My biggest question is what uniforms would the Russians be wearing could I use WWII Russians or will I have to try to find Cold war Russians

Hi they used the old stocks of WW2 uniforms well into the mid 1970's ,. Some of the present equipment is still based on WW2 esp in the ammo pouches and webbing cheers ian

For the late 50s you could get away with using WW2 Russian figures- the problem would be altering their ammunition carrying pouches to suit the AKs they would be using.
