Tamiya PzIVD + H/J lower hull?

I'm probably going to regret this, but will the hull from Tamiya's newer generation Pz IVs lower hull fit on the upper hull of the older Pz IVD? Yes, I know I should probably just buy the Tristar or Dragon kits, but I have a Tamiya kit, and I could order the necessary bits from Tamiya. But I would like to know if this plan is at all feasible? Thanks!

Hi Damon ... It probably won't fit as the early Pz IV kits from Tamiya had some dimensional problems.. you can try it but ....
