Hi guys,

I'm planning on building an M1 Abrams (1/35th scale) and I was wondering about the best kit to depict an M1 in the 1986-1989 period (even if I have to get some AM parts).

I don't think I can find any M1s in 1/35th with the 105 mm cannon, so I guess I'd have to go with one of the first Abrams with the 120 mm cannon.

Thanks in advance,
Ricardo

eBay, in the States at least, almost always has a few Tamiya M1's. Esci also has an M1. If you can't find an M1 Tamiya has an M1A1 with mine plow(35158) or 35156 are you best bets for an early M1A1.

If you look hard enough you can find a few Dragon of the M1. I know they made the M1A1 AIM (kit #3535) And the A2 SEP (#3536) as well as some earlier kits of the Abrams but I'm not sure how far back the tanks are that the other kits represent. The A1 AIM and A2 SEP both represent tanks from ODS onwards.
