I read through here, and have studied your pics. I also showed them to my grandfather who was also a tanker in WWII. We both think you are doing fine. I have been in a similar situation a couple of times in my time, and my grandfather says the same thing.
One time we were advancing, we had several Inf on the ground and a Bradley on the back door. It got real chaotic when we started taking fire from a rooftop at our 10 o'clock. My Tank took 3 RPG's on the front left almost simultaneously. My driver through us in reverse, and started backwards at full throttle.
He rammed the Bradley, and I can bet you the scene looked like what you are creating, just different equipment. Keep up the good work. Some of the minor details, like tracks and stuff, you will get, but don't sweat it if you miss some of them.
Accurate is nice, but when you are building a very busy diorama, the big pieces hide a lot. I try to get anal with the ones I build, but I always can find a way to improve my scenes.
I like what you have done, and I think you are doing very well. Keep up the good work.
