Hi guys. I'm interested in this Trumpeter figure set, but they are designed for deployment in Afghanistan and I would like to paint them for European deployment.
My question is would they be accurate if I simply painted them the appropriate cammo scheme? They come with helments so I can use them instead of the caps, but they also have scarves. I'm not sure they would be wearing those scarves in Europe in summer. It would have to be summer since they're all wearing sun glasses.
Would anyone know for sure?
Thanks.

Hey Phil
I think you can go ahead with the scarves in summer time, German troops on EX in "sandy" training areas like Bergen or the GÜZ etc. would use something to protect their faces ... lot of SPZ and Tank crew do.
Besides with all the heavy loads attached every soldier would prefer something to wipe sweat off.
Not to forget, distinguished "accessoire's" obtained in the field abroard often find their way back home.
Cheers

Hi Phil,
the Flecktarnuniform is identical in cut for both Europe and Desert. The only difference is the material they´re made of. So no problem if you paint it in Euro Flecktarn. As for the "sun-
glases", these are ballistic protection glases which are part of the IdZ soldier equipment. These glases are also worn on exercise here in Germany.

Hi Phil,
just watching a tV show on Bundeswehr EOD teams. The driver of a Keiler was wearing a shemagh scarf on exercise in Germany.
So it possible to use the figures for a Germany based setting.
