What a fantastic realisation in 1/35 of that photograph! A small, simple scene but extremely well done with particular attention to detail like the brickwork, vegetation, the rubble inside and out and the striking blue damaged paint on the interior wall. The soldier is really well posed and the girl is sculpted exactly right to fit the pose. Its also a very emotive scene with a simple and very effective title. Brilliant work Alex- thank you for sharing it with us.

Hey Alex, a very good redition of tha photo. Your painting brings out the very essince of the realities of a war torn world. Something you don't see often; the other side of a soilders world, sympathy for the helpless civilians. War is not just killing the enemy, it is also helping those trapped in a hell not of thier doing. Very well done and touching. Makes me think deeper than most dio/vign I have seen. bob d.

Hi Alex, Wow, what a good job!
Not only the figures tell a great story and are well done, but the painting of the bricks is simply splendid

Alex, what colour do you use for the GI's uniform? You capture the colour perfectly. Great work.

Nice work, Alex.
It is always nice to see Vietnam subjects. You picked a good picture to go off of and it turned out very well. It captures a different feeling of the war. Keep up the great work.
