Aside from Tamiya Sherman and Tigers, what other company produces a good fitting and better details as of that Tamiya kit?

If u're gonna buy a Sherman go for Tamiya. Off course Dragon and Italeri also produce some versions of it but..
For the Tigers, Academy makes some interior detailed models. They are highly detailed.
Like Early and Mid version.

Tamiya's Tigers are tops, or at least I've heard.
As far as Shermans go, this depends on which Sherman you want to make. There are roughly about a dozen Sherman variants on the market. I've listed the out of box kits that are still kicking around someplace. Out of production kits are marked as OOP.
Here are some OOB choices:
Early M4 Sherman, Tamiya
Early M4A1, DML's rare M4A1 75mm OOP
Late M4A1, Italeri (reported to be a post war variant)
M4A2 "Jumbo" (actually an M4A3 75mm) OOP
USMC M4A2, Italeri (not a true M4A2 OOB)
M4A3 75mm w/Calliope rocket launcher, Italeri OOP
Late M4A3 75mm, Tamiya OOP
Late M4A3 75mm, Tamiya (new re-tool)
Late M4A3 105mm, Tamiya
M4A3E2 Jumbo, Tamiya (many accuracy issues with this kit)
Late M4A3 76mm with HVSS, DML OOP
Post War M4A3E8 76mm, DML
Post War M4A3E8 105mm w/flame thrower, DML
M4A4, DML (with and without Typhoon rocket launchers)
Firefly Ic, rare DML kit OOP
Firefly Vc, DML (old and new re-tool one out)
M50, M51 IDF Shermans are made by both Academy and DML
All the above kits are fairly decent and worth the money. Tamiya kits are easy to build, DML has great detail and variety. I have no experience with the Academy kits. Except for the re-tools and the IDF Shermans, they are all different variants.
There are also several long OOP Shermans like Monogram's M4 Hedgehog, M4A1 Calliope, Revell M4A1E8, MP Models M50 Super Sherman, Nitto/Minicraft M4A1 and Tamiya's ancient M4A3E8 (there's also an Academy clone of it as well).

I have to support Rob's statement about Tamiya Tigers...nobody does it better no matter what Tiger you choose. As to Shermans, well the only good Sherman is a ..........................
once again I defer to the only GOA in the club his list is quite comprehensive

Thanks guys for the help. After plaing many WWII games out there, I've been attached to land weapons. Hope I can still build decent ACs
