Hello all

I'm making this Trumpeter kit:

I have not found any inside pics of this armoured cab.

Do someone know how is made the gunner platform, please ?

It is just a hinged plate that sits on the hump. I made one out of PE diamond plate and "L" angle stock styrene for my M1078 w/LSAC.

Thank you very much, Gino.

So the seat in this place is totally removed ?

And the platform can't be adjusted in height like on the humvee gunner platform.
It's irritating there is never this system in the trucks kits

What do you think about the hatch ? Is it the real size or is it overscale ?

My first idea was to replace it with a humvee one but it is not the same dimensions. On the kits, The LMTV hatch is bigger than the humvee hatch.

I thought this part was standart in the dimensions.

I don't know about the hatch in the kit you have, but the LSAC hatch didn't open. I replaced/rebuilt mine using a left over Bronco M1114 hatch. It looked to be the same size as the Bronco ring though. It was a drop fit onto the Trumpeter GPK base once the molded on, closed ring was removed. I still used the Trumpeter hatch on it, gray in the below pic.

You can see the whole build review here.
