I have another question about the Canadian 6x6 LAV III. I know the texture of the anti-slip coating, but not the location. Everything I have found is for Strykers or other LAV variants. Is there a layout photo I can use for this?

Honestly it's so fine I wouldn't even bother - anything is bound to look out of scale - with the exception of maybe Rustoleum texture spray. But that would involve a lot of masking. Here's a photo taken in Afghanistan by a friend of mine before they had all the extra armour do-dads added, you can see how fine it is.

I will snap a pic of mine I did with Rustoleum after work this evening. Masking isn't all that hard if you use microbrushes and liquid mask for the bolts.

The add on armour package covers all the antislip coating when it's installed.
The picture has the package installed and what you think is antislip is actually dust and dirt.

With respect, I disagree. There is anti-slip there; it is very fine grit. Look at this crop of the original and compare the top to the sloped side. I don't have any good close-ups I can post (those who have Ken LeClair's disk can confirm).

I know what I was riding around in out and about in Kandahar and Kabul in 2005/06.
If there was any, it was non- existent.

For texture that fine you might try a stiff brush and testors liquid glue, Stipple it with the brush. Test the plastic first since different plastic reacts differently.

As light as it appears to be, would Mr. Surfacer 1200 work? If it is finer than that, I will leave it off.
