Hi all
Can anyone confirm that T-34/85 late 1945 production (with separated mushroom „dome” type turret roof vents) was used in the Korean war by the Korean forces? What markings were carried by those tanks, especially during initial year of the war? Where to find photos of Korean T-34/85 with this late style of turret roof?
I have an old Maquette kit which I want to build but I don’t know in what timeframe of history it can be located.
TIA,
Piotr

Yes, late model T-34/85 was used by both N Korean and Chinese forces in the Korean war. N Korean vehicles had a simple 3 number ID on the turret sides like russian armor. Chinese had numbers and a red star with a gold chinese character within the star on the forward part of turret sides. I just completed my Road to Hangnam dio with a T-35/85 in it, see the Rivet Review Board section for a photo.
