My first armor build.
This is my rendition of a captured Fiat Ansaldo M13/40 Italian tank at the Battle of Bardia
and later in service with the 6th Australian
Division Cavalry Regiment.
Painted with Tamiya acrylics, washed with Humbrol oil enamels
and weathered with traditional chalk pastels.
Cheers,
Joe

Awesome work mate!
I plan to do one of these one day too, there's not enough Aussie stuff out there and I'm keen to try to have at least one shelf of Aus armour...Other than the ASLAV from Trumpeter I don't know of many kits available.
Could I ask what kit you used, and if were there any AM additions?
It looks like the Tamiya kit?
Also you say this is your first armour build - Do you mean to say you've done other (non-armour) kits or this is your first ever kit?
Either way it's brilliant work, but if this is your first ever kit...well then I clearly haven't put enough time into my kits because they look nowhere near as good!

Hi Alex,
This is the old Tamiya kit of the M13/40 from years ago. It
is the first armor kit that I have completed and painted.
There are no AM parts just OOB.
I have one other armor kit that I am working on, it is the
old Aurora 1:48 scale Chi Ha Japanese Medium Tank. I have
started a thread in the 1:48 scale section on the corrections
that are being done to that old kit to represent a correct Chi Ha,
as the Aurora kit has many flaws.
This is not my first kit ever.....just in armor. My main area of interest is ships
and I do occasionally build aircraft.
Glad to see you enjoyed and thanks for the comments.
Cheers,
Joe
