Produced by the Trumpeter M 1117 Guardian ASV (Armored Security Vehicle) is one of the next subject that I intend to realize. This kit was assembled from box adding only the antennas and some small details made with plasticard and brass wire.I replaced the rubber wheels with other resin that I had previously printed using as a master those present in the kit and I added in the front of the system Rhino Anti Ied Device and in the rear the device satellite transceiver MT-2011 called Blue Force Tracker the antenna Duke and the other antennas using the set of Voyager Model reference PEA225.As you can see from the photos I duplicated with a plasticard rod antenna Duke preserving so the original resin of the Voyager set to be used in the future on other vehicles.I would like to set this vehicle in Iraq.
Ciao Luigi

Nice work. The two antennas on the right side have a ring on the top.

In response to Bill I want to congratulate you for the excellent work on your M1117.I also really like the scenery that you have created for the setting of this vehicle.Really nice and realistic.
In response to Alex rings are there but they are small and they were in the set produced by Voyager.I'll show you a picture where you see.

Thanks Hakan. Now that I have finished the assembly of the model I'm trying to set the Guardian.Among the many photos found on the web I found this which I think is very useful to recreate the background of a city street in Iraq.

I really like and would be of great effect.
Cheers Luigi

Thanks, Jeff, I do modern subjects to clear my head. Also, there is so much more information & photos on the Internet, it makes accuracy and authenticity a bit easier than with WW2 German subjects.
Luigi, I wish I could take credit for the street scene, but it's from Dioramas Plus.

Ok Bill, however, your work way up this street scene is great. For me, this kit is very nice but not readily available and I will scratch build work to realize the scene for my M 1117.On the web there are a lot of photos to get good ideas to realize a good diorama.
Greetings Luigi

I don't think you'll have any problems, Luigi, but I did want to give credit to the maker (as well as promote the kit for anyone in the US who is looking for an Iraqi diorama).
