I still have a few tamiya M2A2 Bradley's that can be used for in Germany. Or are there M2A3 Bradley's only now.

Happy modeling

It looks like they are transitioning to all M2A3s in Graf at JMRC as draw vehicle for rotational units. There are no armor units permanently stationed in Germany any longer. The only unit stationed there now is a Stryker BDE at Vilseck.

You can still use the Tamiya M2A2 ODS kit and the Legend M2A3 Conversion Set to get a good M2A3, but you will have to source the new track from somewhere, possibly a German Marder IFV.

Does anyone have a Tamiya Schutzenpanzer Marder track to test fit on a Bradley sprocket?

The sprocket itself looks like it is just a widened (possibly) Brad sprocket.

Maybe some AM company will make them as a conversion set as well. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Looks like the Bradley tracks are rounded on the corners where the Marder tracks are squared ...

I was thinking might be cool to drop an AFV Palidin top on a Meng Bradley w/ interior...

It's going to be a little more @$$pain than that. Add the Meng Bradley to the list of kits used in this post:

Looking forward to the DEF-Model V2 upgrade set.
Got the one from BLAST ... it's okay ... but not what I had wished for.
I just utilize some part for my project being a M1A2 "prepared" for the V2 upgrade when they first came to Korea.
I know Max is doing a "Korea" one at the moment and meticulous as he is he had make to some corrections.
But since BLAST is "reorganising" DEF is probably the only alternative for the moment.

Cheers

Actually you can still order that Blast set, but they are closing in a week, better be quick and hope everything goes well with the postal service.

Still made an order with them a couple of days ago.

Cheers,

Hi Guys,

I already have a photo permission for the upcoming events as I have publishers being interested in releasing books about M1A2 SEP V2 Abrams and M2A3 Bradleys. I will keep you posted.

One like you did on the M1A1 from WWP
... maybe some more pics of "packed" tracks would be nice!

It just depends on the opportunities and how the exercise will look like. I just finished an in detail about the M2A2 ODS Bradley and the RG-31 Mk5 for WWP. Next project will be the new German Schützenpanzer Puma.

Sorry for bringing this back to life, but I was looking around on ebay and came across the academy k9 howitzer. From looking at it, it appears that the tracks are the same or at least closer then the diehl ones.

Accordiung to an unconfirmed report, not only M1 A2 and M2A3 are based now in Grafenwöhre training Area, but there is a good chance to see at least two M104 Wolverine AVLB soon here in Germany.

Hi Hans- Hermann

Got that info as well .... and possibly some M1 ABVs to accompany them.
Looks like the ARMY wants to have a complete "Battle-group" on hand for training ... and the ongoing Ukraine crisis highlights the possibility that conventional-warfare is not history quite yet.
Btw the Bundeswehr could drive the Leo2s over the Leguan bridge ... haven't been able to practice that from some time !

Cheers

Hi Christopher,
M1 ABV over would be more than cool. Fortunatly, I havn`t bought any M1 ABV conversion. I know that there are some other photographers ready to cover the vehicles. I hope for some good books on the subject.

My input is that you will have a battalion size unit which can be deployed in company size mixed "combat-teams".
The Stryker's and MRAPs etc. already there will provide cavalry duty, but since the engineers are pulling out of Bamberg garrison some kind of engineer support has to be provided .... thats why M104, ABVs & M9s etc. to supplement the training especially in Hohenfels JMTC scenarios.
Artillery ... no info on that, either US units still here or from the Bundeswehr is more likely.
Main target I believe is to get state-side units to practice in a "European" environment mostly unknown to them in combination with their local allies ... also mostly strangers to them.
If that is the case I believe we will see quite some intensive/extensive "training-rotations" coming up from state-side units utilizing this new equipment.
