Hi all,
Were any Tiran 5 used in the 1973 Yom Kippur War? I’m planning to use the DEF models new conversion set for the Tamiya Tiran 5 to back date it to a 1973 Tiran..
http://defmodel.com/
I know the Tiran 4 were used. But I cannot find any reference or pictures to confirm the Tiran 5 was used.
Cheers,
Gibbo

The background Information sheet with the Tamiya Tiran 5 states that they were first used in 69, with the first large scale combat being with the Yoel Brigade against the Egyptians during the Yom Kippur War

Hi
Rough figures idf had 150 tirans in 73 ,all originally captured in 67, over 100 were t54 based tiran 4 rest tiran5. They were there just not as common.
