For my circa 1962 USSR version, what machine gun would be put on it, since Trumpeter failed to include one in the kit?

It should probably be an SGMT on the 50PK of that era. I have no idea if there is one in plastic or resin.

There is also a decent one in the Italeri now Zvezda Soviet Assault troops WW2. It's on the 2 wheeled carriage but is quite a decent representation. I used one on my Arsenal BRDM 1 and only added an empty cartridge case bag - easy enough to do in Milliput or similar.
