Darren, thanks for getting this up and so fast. I hope everyone knows how much you do to keep things running.
Now I just need to get a good driver and appropriate stowage items.
For those looking for an upgrade, Part offers an etch set that takes care of the missing parts on the kit cab, as well as replacements for the fenders and mud flaps.

Russ, here's a serious possibility for the driver:

Thanks for that Darren. Now, the question is when does the QLR come out?
IBG as i've said before, really shoud be congratulated for risking a bit on a subject which will never be as 'sexy' as an Opel Blitz. They are good models which do require the modeler to give that extra 5%...

Hi Darren,
Thanks for the review. I picked this one up a few weeks ago and I'm really looking forward to the QLB and QLR.
For a driver I'll adpat one of the Bren Crew and for troops the MiniArt Tank riders will provide a few possibilities.
Hats off to IGB, pity about the missing detail, but there will be a good fun in building both their QLD and this one.
Russ,
Do you have the link re the PE set? I have a cab from Resicast so I'll see what develops.
This is the first time these vehicles will be within the spend of many and that's got to be a good thing.
Keep them coming IGB.
Cheers
Al

Jim and Alan, thanks for comments and the tips on the driver and passengers. I'll pick some up.
Alan, here is a link for the etch:

Terry Ashley has a review of it up.

Not a bad kit, but definitely needs some TLC. I'm in the process of building one at the moment. I CAD'd up some replacement "early" wheel hubs without the sling-flanges that are so poorly rendered in the kit, as well as a turn indicator - once I get the test-print from Shapeways I'll make these available. (Still need wartime tyres, and the wheel rims could be better...) The PE set looks nice, but way too fiddly for me!
The tilt will need some work - the real thing doesn't sag between the metal bows because there are longitudinal braces that run over top of the middle bows, giving it a "hump-backed" appearance. Not sure yet if I'll use brass rod & solder, or heat-bend some plastic rod - either way there will be glue-soaked tissue paper involved.
I even managed to work out a way to assemble the complete cab exterior, and leave the "cockpit" loose for painting! I'll probably start a build log when I get time.

Thanks Russ,
As Tom says looks fiddly, I'll think on it. I might well have enough bits around to make the major fixes or I may just use plastic.
Often if it's just as case of the thickness you can file things down.
Cheers

Nice to see more Allied trucks coming online. I can't wait for a Matador so I can pull my Resicast howitzer.

As regards a driver I would have thought the mixed driver set from MiniArt would bethe easiest option.
