I`m about to purchase me an M151 w/ TOW . I wonder if the Academy and Taimya kits are from the same mold? I have the Tamiya kit on my LHS 5 Euros cheaper than the Academy kit.
Any AM kits for these?

It depends on which Academy M151A2 w/TOW you are looking at. They originally copied the Tamiya one exactly. A couple years ago, Academy came out with an all-new one based on their new M151 molds. The new one is quite a bit better than the original one.

You can see some of the differences in my M151 Article

For AM, there is a PE set from Eduard. Legend and Verlinden have a couple older resin sets to update them or backdate the A2 to an A1. Legend just recently released an A1 update set as well.

Thanks for the input Gino,
I decided for the updated Academy kit with DEF wheels and Legends resin plus Eduard PE. Will build a truck from Grenada.

I just noticed that there was a reload vehicle for the TOW MUTT. I wonder if components of Legends IDF TOW reload vehicle could be used for a conversion?
