You want comments??.... You can have them!!

Seriously, your Stug look better than theirs (it's not a converted FV432 for once ) and your camo is perfect IMHO. Wow!

Your greatest talent (IMHO) lies with figures! You remind me of great examples like Shep Paine and Bill Horan!!
Whether you work on them hard or else it comes naturally..your figures look anatomically correct and they fulfill your storyline!

The only things I would change is the hemp rope and the fine foam. It does not look right!
And I would add some black shadows on the paras (lining the bottom of the jacket, o.s.
With light colours one must be careful to avoid the "contourless blob" syndrome. Half a dozen of deep shadows are enough to remedy that!

Oh yes, the lawn might be a tad too well cared although the liner idea is great!!

Well done, no doubt!!

Cheers

Romain

Hi Romain,

I'm not really aware of the figure painters you mention - but thanks
I started with warhammer figures back in the day, so I guess it's what I've been practicing the longest. Light colours are difficult, I always think it'll end up looking like a cartoon if there's too much contrast. Although I must attempt a UN white vehicle one day.

Excellent vehicle and figures! I really like them.

The base needs work...may I suggest:

Torn up turf behind the tracks.
Grass bits caught up in the running gear and tracks.

There is too much nicely arranged vegetation around
the front of the SPG and then nothing.
Add some growth everywhere else.

How about some cover for the bazooka team....out in
the open like that is suicide.
Maybe some tall grass for cover or a formation of boulders and small shrubs.

Place your team off center and not so much in a straight line with the SPG.

A little more work and you'll have an excellent dio.

Again, your paint work is EXCELLENT!

Cheers,
Joe

And good job on the dio, eventhough I concur with comments above.

Exceptional work! I would have never guessed what you used for the grass. Simply stunning. I like how the figures work in unison with the Stug. Neither draw attention away from the other. May I ask what colors you used for the Stug?

Thanks everyone,

Joe, the layout was somewhat defined by the scene I was copying. As far as I can tell from the footage the guys did just run into the middle of a field!

Matt, I finished it a while ago, but I think I used Tamiya Dark Yellow, Red Brown and NATO Green. Panzer Aces Track primer and Dark Rubber. I used SIN Tri-colour filter and Citadel 'Devlan Mud' carefully run around the detail (After a quick search for the spelling I see this is discontinued )
Dusted with Mig Europe Dust.
I don't go for oils much.

Maybe you should..!!!

For these deep shadows f.ex...!!

Properly diluted they flow almost automatically into the right places!

Cheers

Nice! Very well done. Ditto comments on groundwork, but hey, it's way better than I can do!
