When it rains, it pours. It looks like the Orochi M3A3 that was hinted at here back in Dec may be coming soon. PMMS has it as a new release, with more info to come.

This pic was shown here in Dec.

I hope it is as nice as the Meng M2A3. The listing at PMMS states metal track and metal barrel, along with PE. We shall see.

Are there big differences between the M2 and the M3, inside and out?

The M3 version is the CFV, or Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, a.k.a. scout. The M3A3 CFV is the current scout vehicle. Externally, the biggest difference on the M3A3 is the rear troop area setup and the repositioning of the rear periscopes to the TOW Reloading Hatch as opposed to on the rear roof deck. The M3A3 also has a new top hatch that is rounded as opposed to angular as well.

The M3A3 interior layout is different as well. There are just a couple observer seats on the left side and a TOW missiles rack on the right side.

2 in 1 ?
Does that mean the option with and/or without the BUSK set?
Would be nice to have the option to build a "regular" one.

Cheers

Damn man - I thought you were going to show us your build. I'm chomping at the bit to get to mine.

When this was announced a couple of months ago I some inquiries. I've got no connection with the company whatsoever, but the word from some folks over there is that this was a breakaway group and thus the final product suffers for it. That's all I know.

Just to add to the Meng/Akom mystery, I have both the Meng Leopard 1A3/4 and the Takom Leopard C2 MEXAS. They do not share any parts at all, however there are tons of similarities between the two. For example, the wheels both have the same odd detail on the backs of the wheels, but there are subtle differences in the hubs and bolts. The upper hulls again have different tiny details but are basically interchangeable. My guess is Takom and Meng use the same research but each cut their own molds.

Metal tracks? That's going to be expensive. But I'm glad to have more options over the Tamiya kits.

I wonder why metal tracks, when they already do nice workable plastic tracks for other vehicles? I hope it doesn't affect the price too much

I wonder why metal tracks

More interesting is what they mean by "Big Foot"? If they mean the new "Diehl-like" dual pin tracks, then I don't really care if they are metal or plastic - I want them!
