I have seen a lot of modern day vehicles with flags on their antennas... what's the usual way to secure the flags on antennas?

How are flags tied to vehicle antennas?

We used pretty much what we had handy, small zip ties, commo wire, boot laces. I have to say that zip ties tended to be pretty common, you could get them from the mechs or comm guys.

When the flag is designed to be attached to antennas, there are a couple of laces sewn on the edge of it.
Otherwise, adhesive tape is a good way to secure a flag.

I have a good photo somewhere of "Hutchie" cord or "Para" cord tied to a couple of M2 .50 cal links pushed down hard onto the antenna.
I will have a look in the morning, and if I find it, I will email it to you Mario.
Cheers Jason

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm looking for a way to secure a flag on the aereal of my Scorpion CVRt. I have Welsh flag decal from Echelon... it gives both sides of the flag printed as a one piece decal. So I was thinking of cutting up some really thin lead foil to shape, add the decal with a string of some sort, fold the flag so it falls down the aereal realistically and attach it to the antenna.
Something like this:
If any of you has a better idea, I'm all ears.
Cheers,
Mario
