I'm talking of course about an original plastic kit, and not one of the old-type Trumpeter kits. I cannot believe nobody would have come up with one by now, considering we're getting so many of the other Cold War Soviet tanks!

Given the fact that the T-55 isn't all that much different then a T-54 (to the point that NATO groups them together, since it hard to identify them), get an AM kit for the Tamiya kit and your all set. At a bare minimum you need a vent for the turret and add a MG port to the front of the hull.

I'd be surprised if we didn't see a new T-54 sometime soon. Now that there are so many new kit manufacturers, who are prepared to think outside the box and make bold decisions, there is an excellent chance that the stuff you most want will be produced. ICM has even announced a set of modern Soviet tank riders, something I've wanted for years.

Hi;
The Legend conversion is real nice if you want too build the T-54, and then you adapt it too the Tamiya T-55.
I have seen this conversion and have too admit that it looks real good, the turret looks Fantastic ! And I agree that we will most likely see a T-54 in the Future.
CHEERS; MIKE.

I second what Mike said about the Legend conversion. It builds into a real nice looking T-54-2 (1949). Needs just a few extra things added depending on what you do with it. I just finished one last month, and thought everything was great.
