Hello,

does anybody know, if I can build a T-80U 1989 or simply a soviet T-80U from Xact model oob?

Or do I have to do some changes?

The date 1989 is a simple oriantation regarding to SP-Design kits.

Best wishes.

Hi Moritz;

I think this is a question only our Resident SP-Design Expert JD can answer. There is no body else that knows more about SPD !

in the box XACT is a T-80 model 1993. Need a photo of the sample on which to build your model. But there has to decide to change something or not!

The m1985 version of the T-80U is for the few that were initially manufactured with the K-1/3 ERA instead of the K-5 array. I believe both OMSK and Kharkov built a few this way, so it could have the Commanders Remote Operated Weapons station, or not. I think you could build the m85 from the X-act kit, but it may take a bit of work on placement of the ERA.

There are some photos and some explanation about the prototypes leading up to the T-80U. If shows the mounting points for the ERA, and the SGL arrangement, well.

Here is a photo of what was called the object 219AK (commanders version). It is my belief that this is a early production T-80UK.
