Just picked up these two kits. I am indeed very happy with these kits! Academy seems to be raising the bar as to the quality and detail of there kits. They give you alot for your money! The M3A1 Stuart comes with either rubber band tracks or indivigual links. Both kits come with different opptional parts to make different variations. And also come with a sprue of extra parts to detail your model.
Three cheers for Academy!
Has anyone built these kits yet ?

Regards,
Garry

Well I've built their Stuart and Hellcat this year and have been quite pleased. Several years ago I built their complete interior Tiger 1...excellet kit no matter what the perfectionists tell you.

I don't have the M3A1 kit yet, so I really can't comment on it, but I do have the Achilles.

The Achilles kit is an update of Academy's M10 kit and I think it's pretty nice. They did, however, take a few shortcuts with the interior. It's not terribly difficult to correct, if you are so inclined. Here's a nice couple webpages on the M10 and Achilles, if you want to fix it up a bit:

I have both, the M10 is in the final strait of completion and the Stuart is half-finished. Having compared the AFV Club M10 with the Academy one, the finesse of detail seems to be with the former, Personally I am very happy with the Academy one...Jim

Academy kits have greatly improved over the years. I built their IDF sherman kit . all I can say is excellent.
