Too much trouble to say "Revell's new website" in the title?

Bob I am not going to visit this issue again but if you refer to the answer Jim S gave in the previous thread, you would be aware that if kevin had used the title suggested it would appear on our feeds as Revell Revell New Website and that is why it is as it is.
Actually that kind of reminds me of a song title.

Oh, I know. I just couldn't resist it ... and you know someone would have brought it up. This one was too good to pass up but, personally, I try to skip over every news, feature, and review articles listed in the forum. When I want to see them I go under the proper section.

Here's what Jim said...
"Let's be crystal clear here. Do I think "2014 Preview" is a good news title. No, "
I bet Jim would say the same for "New Website".

And as mentioned Jim is working to include the vendor in the Forum titles. And if you are so interested in the news titles, why don't you volunteer to be a news writer, and lets see what you can come up with.

Honestly I don't get it. How hard is it to type 'New Revell Website' as opposed to a vague 'New Website'? Personally I have Armorama bookmarked so it goes straight to the Forums main page; I don't understand the justification about the other feeds like the News and What's New tabs since I rarely check those out. Doesn't the title appear the same in all forums?

As mentioned before, the company name is not used in the title, as it would be a repeat on the news page and the RSS feed. So as most people read news from the News page the title would then say "Revell New Revell Website", does not look very professional.
The publisher will be implementing a change where the company names will appear in the forum post for new news items.

Jim, you *may* already know this, but if not, if you did just one click to take you to the News tab, you'd see how there is a lot more information about what the news items relate to, probably enough to tell you if you want to click on it to read more or not, because there is a preview of what it is about right there on the main page - and that would be one click to read it, one click back to see if you want to read the next one. Trying to read the news via the Forum threads on the other hand, means one click on the thread name, then one click on the link in the post, then click back to the forum... so it's two clicks whether you then are actually interested in the item or not. In the News tab it's zero clicks to find you don't want to read it, one click when you do, followed by one click back. So why is it somehow deemed easier or more convenient to read news via the Forum instead of the News tab? Just because you have the forum bookmarked? The fact is, it isn't easier at all, it's always more clicks.
And I'm not even disagreeing (or agreeing) about the observations about the news headlines themselves, my point is, there is no sense to the preference some people seem to have for reading news via the Forums. The Forum threads only really exist so that you can discuss the news item.
