Hi all,

first post here!! I was pointed to this forum by 1967er (Thomas) who does amazing Dio´s based on Zombie Apoc settings.

I come from the 28mm wargaming scene and last year decided to swop to 1/35 scale for my gaming which is Zombie apocalypse/post apoc in a british modern setting.

So (as alot have already done) I went onto the Interwebz to find the 100´s of figures waiting to be bought!!! and what did I find?????? next to nothing. I think the choice was 3 Figs from "Kellerkind" and a bunch of half nekked females from Ant Miniatures (which I bought one of).

Next came the search for zombies, ha ha ha!!!! 1/32 scale "Green Army Men" style was found from "Gentle Giant" and "Box o Zombies" these are ok for wargaming and I could convert one or the other using Greenstuff.

But this still left me in sore need of decent civilians.

So I came up with this very stupid idea, hey I can do these in 3d get them Rapid Prototyped and mums your word!!!

Here is the first big mistake from Sept. 2013

Stay safe and survive

So what was the mistake here? Cost of rapid prototyping? Copyright infringement? Hard to see details on this image, but looks OK. BTW - how much did it cost to have a 1/35 figure 3D printed?

The print quality was very rough and the quality wasnt what I wanted, and also the material was so porous that the paint just got sucked in.

No IP fringement, because she (and 5 other Models) were made in Commission for me, so that I had a few Models to Game with.

She only costed €25 but the ones I have ready for casting (yes I will be Setting up a webshop to sell them) cost approx. €200 a piece to print in a quality for Casting.

My plan is to make quite a few different civilians and zombies?

Toni,

That last batch look pretty good to me. I really love that second guy with the body armour.

Paul

thank you, this is the quality that we will used for the Masters.

Yes, the guy is very versatile. I have a couple on my workspace for converting where I will give one a crossbow, the other a shotgun for my own personal survivor groups.

Toni, congrats on the figures mate. I have three boxes of the walkers (Walking Dead green army men type) but have no survivors to fight them as I have only 1/35 and some Airfix WW2 figs which I could convert with a lot of green stuff....but being lazy I would prefer to buy some of your figs when ready to sell! Thanks for sharing with us.
Cheers, Jason.

These look very cool. This guy could also be used in any current Middle East / North African scene as well. Place an AK-47 or an RPG in his hand and he is good to go.

How about any pics of your other figures? Any idea when these will be ready and what the price will be?

I hope you don't mean your selling price is 200 Euros each!

Oh god no!!!!! €200 is just a wee too expensive, unless they were made Out of Gold

I will be getting them casted up in normal Lead Free metal, and they will cost between €11 to €15 a piece.

I'll be talking to my caster middle of next week, I think about a 6 week Turn around
time.

The price sounds reasonable. Wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to cast them up in resin? It is definitely easier to work with than metal. Easier to convert as well.

If any One knows a good mould maker and caster for resin in Germany, then I might think about it, as the trials that I got made were Not really that good.

I do agree with you about resin being easier to convert, but I also like hvy metal on my Gaming table :-)

Hi,

Tony sent me his figures before the official selling starts, and I have to say, that these figures are a real expansion of our possibilities. Especially when you are not able to re-sculpt existing figures (like myself) you are totally lost without someone like Tony, who brings something new onto our workbench.

And his figures are great - good sculpt, interesting poses (all completely new to this scale - very refreshing), good casting quality and no 3D-printing-relicts like I often find nowadays on new figures.

I have started the "schoolgirl with gas mask" and had the idea to bring her in a different setting - as "Zombielands next Topmodel".

Here are some pictures of the current WIP-Status:

The figure itself - wearing a wet T-Shirt:

and the base she will be placed on:

Here´s a quick preview of 2 of the first 3 zombies that I will starting the range with. (These will be in Resin).

The first 6 survivors are at the casters at the moment, so hopefully it will not be too long till they are available.

Hope you like? :-)

Cheers

Pregnant trailer trash zombie...that's definitely up there on the creep-o-meter. I like what Thomas has going, although I can't help but wonder what sort of special anti-zombie properties mini-skirts and wet T-shirts have.

you will be so distracted when looking at the wet T-shirt and miniskirt that the zombies will get you first and she will escape....

Well, you could at least have given her high-heels so I would have a chance...

and another figure that has just been printed.

Creep-o-meter time again.

An old lady with a sack over her head!

We don´t know why!! is she a zombie? or just shy or is she hiding something more sinister?

And another preview of a survivor.

Hope you like?
