Hi all, I'm new to the site so I thought I'd say hi and see how every one is.

Well I thought I'd share my first model I've made in quite a few years due to going on tour.

It's a AFV Club Dorchester command vehicle.

Sorry there is not that many pictures but I've just started to get back into it and didn't think it was going to be any good.

So this is the chassis, all painted with some wear and tear and oil stains on it.

And here's the drivers cab.

The interior with sides.

And finally the Finished vehicle all painted, decalled up and weathered

Hope you all enjoy, and if you see anything i could do to improve it I'm all ears, the more input the better.

Cheers Si

It was actually a really good quality model to make, hardly any modifications I had to make to get it to fit together. So for me a good starter model.

Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did Al, its a really good model.

Thank you very much dogstar. Think I might need to add some wear on the entrances but not sure the best technique. But thanks though!!

Very nice work, interior looks great, seems a shame to put a roof on it....

Cheers easyco69!!

Well SgtRam, I decided to only place the roof on so I can take it off. I have seen on one of the older topics someone had made a stug with interior and they basically put the roof on stilts, which has got me thinking about doing that for this one, although I'm thinking it may make it a little to high but we shall see.

Does anyone know of any figure kits that would be ideal to put with this model, thinking of building a little diorama with it, and I'd like to put some people in it but not sure if anyone makes any.

Hi Si,

The MiniArt British Officers that have just been released would be good but for the desert, their desert jeep and afv crew would most probably suit.
