I wonder if any of you kind folk can help, i would like to build a Mat in RAF service in Normandy 44, they were used as flat bed load carriers. The question is what is the difference between early and late Mats, the only real difference i can think of maybe that the troop compartment may well be wood on the earlier version and steel on the later version, your thoughts please

I believe the air tanks are different and the fuel tank is longer the cab roof also differs between models

There are also differences in the construction of the cab - early were of Wood, later cabs, pressed Steel....
