Hi all,

I bought a Tamiya 1/35th scale german mortar team which I would like to add more detail to. I know one can buy photo etched Y-straps, slings, and straps for 1/35th scale figures. I cannot find the websites that have them. If anyone can post some links, I would appreciate it. Also, if I want to use PE Y-straps, do I have to sand away the Y straps that are already molded on the figure? Or can they just be placed over them? Thank you very much.

Check out Jerry Rutman's (user name "jrutman") build blogs in both the figures and dioramas forums here. Jer regularly adds PE equipment (and scratch-built) to his figure builds. You can't go wrong following what he does in his builds.

Do you happen to know how many sets of Y-straps are in this? I can't find anywhere where it says.

2 sets come with each PE set but you also get a boatload of other stuff as well.
