Hey everyone,
I'm about to start Trumpeter's PT-76 Mod. 51, and want to do it up from the 1968 uprising. I want to add some graffiti and paint splatters on it to add some interest to the finish. There was a thread on militaryphotos that had some good photos, but they are no longer there. I'm wondering if anyone has photos of any Soviet vehicles with graffiti on them. Thanks in advance.

Hi Seth;

Have you tried the net, there is plenty of pics, of the Invasion. As for A PT-76, I have not seen any. I have seen T-54/55s and T-62s, there is the series of pictures of the Street with the People Throwing bits of pavement at the vehicles that was published that was a Hot Topic when it was released. The only Dio, that I have seen has a vehicle Splattered with Paint.

CHEERS; MIKE.

Erik: Thanks for the email. Great stuff.

Mike: I've poked around the net a bit, but nothing too helpful. There was a thread on a different site that had great pics, but they're no longer there. Should have saved them to my computer when I had the chance, oh well.

Maybe you have these PT-76 pics already now, but anyway...

I haven't found any slogans pics but it looks like some tanks were splashed with white (?) paint :

Frenchy,

Sorry to barge in but I am building a SU 122-54 in Prague Spring markings for the Wonderful World of the T54/etc Campaign and have been looking for paint splashed tank photos from 1968.
These are very useful. Don't suppose you have anymore?

Seth,
How are you thinking of applying the paint. So far I have experimented with an eye dropper to mixed results.

regards

Like these (I guess the top picture shows the same tank as in the last picture in my previous post) ?

No slogan here, but sometimes symbols are more powerful than words :

Mecanix: Honestly I haven't really though about. I was maybe thinking taking some really thin paint, and adding it with a brush.

Frency, thanks for posting a second round of photos.

Seth,
I got as far as using a 000 paintbrush with a tiny blob of paint on the tip and VERY gently flicking it, before I became indisposed. I was still practicing with different dilutions but it seems to work on plasticard.
Hope this helps, please let me know how you get on.

regards
