Is anyone considering building a diorama based around any recent events in Afghanistan? Sure there were no M1 Abrams tanks involved. But there were plenty of T-55's, and other Soviet AFV's.

If you are and have a question about it - post it here.

I'm waiting for the new figures from ICM and I have a couple of vehicles, but caint decide what to use. Of course all the Marine variants of the LAV are there too.

Pete,
You did a great job on that dio too. I hope everyone is checking it out. Do you have any new projects you are working on now?

yes, I am planning to built something around the afghanistan events. coming from wwII modelling I am moving towards building modern AFV's too and thus need some extra lessons concerning modern tanks. to be honest I still have diffculties in distinguishing a t55 from a t62 and a t72 from a t80...
but I think t55 and t62 were used from northern alliance and I hope to have finished a small diorama by autumn..

Nothing that I'm setting my mind to finish. I'm ust bouncing around on acouple of kits on my work desk. Once a week I go up to my desk and try to set aside a couple of kits I want to concentrate on and finish, but it never happens.
