Well... for a C1 MEXAS, they would only have to do the MEXAS turret armor if I am correct (but I'm not an expert)!

The C1 MEXAS requires an entirely new turret...the welded 1A3/1A4 turret with Canadian modifications plus a unique open turret bustle rack in addition to the C1 turret MEXAS. The hull MEXAS is the same as on the C2.
One kit at a time gents...the Leopard C2 was only just announced.

Did Takom address the shortcomings of the C2 MEXAS kit, like solid inner road wheels and solid moulded details on the hull sides?

I have no idea. I would suspect they will be the same as it is a common hull, but we'll have to wait and see.

Haha...what do you think soldiers do most of the time? They don't point at unseen things constantly from the top of tank turrets, they don't jump off the top of tanks with automatic weapons blazing, and they aren't is back breaking crouching running positions.
What's the old saying?..."War is 99% waiting around..."
If anything we need more casually posed modern figures.

What do you mean solid inner road wheel? What details are molded on hull sides? I thought MEXAS armor modules covered the hull sides?

On the Takom C2 MEXAS the shocks are molded to the lower hull rather than needing attachment. The road wheels have no detail on the rear sides. You are correct that the majority of these details are masked by the front side of the road wheels, the tracks, and the hull MEXAS.

who the hell looks at the bottom of a kit? Man just build one in the garage and count bolts there. I am getting so tired of hearing oh my god this is 2 mm off for Christs sake.

2 years ago you were complaining we had no Cdn vehicles and now you are there with the correction list to them all. Some of us like putting kits together to put on shelf's or in scenes with guys drinking coffee waiting for something to happen because you can't always be pointing out of a turret now can we. Seems we can work a micrometer really well for running the big targets on the field

Okay, the shocks and bump stops for the torsion bar arms are molded on. Looks like to allow the torsion bar suspension to move, the shocks don't actually connect to the torsion bar swing arm, as it should for sake of accuracy. So it sacrifice quite a bit of hidden accuracy for the sake of movable suspension. Which sort of sucks.

Somehow I get this feeling that other producers will soon hijack the Leopard 1 train and come forward with further new kits.
Object 279 or so comes to mind .... weirdest tank of all but 3 different kits popped up within a month.
I think it is about time we modelers deserve a proper reproduction of this important tank
Cheers

I was joking with my post...i.e...starting it with Haha. I am truly sorry if your hackles were raised and you feel slighted or offended. No need for that and that was not my intent.
If you are interested in new figures and modern Canadian kits perhaps take some of your time to conduct research and gather information and make formal proposals to established model companies as to why they should create the kits you mentioned.

Yes, you are right Jason, I had the Meng kit in mind... :-( and since Takom doesn't produce an A3/A4, then we might not see a C1 in the near future! :-(
My bad...

Also, it wouldn't be a big deal now for Takom to offer a Leo 1, 1A1, 1A1A1m and 1A2.
If they can offer a kit of the one off Soviet 4 track flying saucer tank, They should also offer a Leo 1A6, the one off experiment to put a Leo2 gun and turret front protection on a Leo 1.
