What's the difference between this and the BTR-82? I was under the impression the BTR's we've been seeing in Crimea were BTR-82's.

This one seems to be a bit more busy than the ones we have been seeing in the Crimea. Perhaps, the Russians did not sell them their most advanced vehicles. That would be like the US selling Mexico M1A2 Abrams'. I make this statement with no intention of it being considered a political opinion, though in truth it must be. Please, don't respond with political comments to this "what if".

BTR-82 is Russian, the Ukrainians don't have them. Looks like the 82 is just a modernized 80A. Hopefully Trump will put out an 82 with Crimea markings.
