Here is my T-64b from Trumpeter, I have re-arranged the spare ammunition bow and the stowage box on the right hand side of the turret as per photographs of the real tank; the instructions are not up to scratch with this kit as it ignores lots of parts like the extra armour on the on the glacis plate, the newer exhaust isn't mentioned as well as the brass mounts for the unditching beam.
The lack of weld beads is another problem, especially on the turret, also the wading tubes need seams because they are made from sheet metal with a folded seam down the length.
I used a mix of filler and liquid glue on the hull bottom, suspension and hull rear. when dry I added more glue and revel filler with a bit of paint brush cut from a emulsion paint brush mixed in to look like grass and straw.
Then the tank was undercoated with car primer from a spray can.
The suspension, rear hull and hull bottom was painted with a mix of Humbrol 33 Black and 26 Dark earth. and let dry.
The turret and hull top was then painted Humbrol 117 Green.
I let this dry for 24 hours and then started the weathering of the green to make it look blotchy and grimy. The earth brown was dry brushed with some Humbrol 72 Buff to give a dry look to the mud.
More to follow

Nice work.
The ONLY thing I would say as constructive criticism, and it is NOT a slam at all, is dealing with what we all have trouble with...tracks. For a tank at that level of dirty, there should probably be more mud/residue left in the nooks and crannies of the tracks. But, it is more a matter of personal taste than anything.
And, I really like what you did with the side skirts in particular...that looks VERY well done.

Thank you Jacques,
I agree totally with you, Im not finished with this yet, the title should have read work in process
I have the fuel barrels to install, and the weathering to finish, plus add a bit of stowage.
The markings are being done today.
Thank you for your comments.

Looks good so far....I assume you will dust up the upper surfaces some as you mentioned it's still a work in progress. The dirt appearance on the side skirts is spot on.

Latest work done on the T-64B.
More weathering and a oppo forces markings for an exercise in DDR.
I used Humbrol 72 for the light dust and a mixture of Humbrol 33 black and 26 earth for the dark dust, the rest of the darker soil colours are burnt umber oil paint wash ab a wash of Humbrol 33 black a few days later. all painting is by brush. just the turret numbers to do then it is finished.
Hope you like it.
