Hi Guys,
I have a future build in mind which would require converting Tamiya's early Famo too a Late.
Would would be needed to make this happen?? Are there any aftermarket conversions? And does anyone have any picks of early to late showing the differences??
Cheers Mike

Great subject !
I haven't done myself but a friend ... tried.
He finally gave up while it was near completion because he realized how far from good it was.
Main differences are the front mudguards and drive sprockets. And conversions were made for these parts. My friend did convert the Tamiya kit with them.
And then he realized that there are many many other differences. The road wheels or the rear body ( as well as Under it ), the dashboard are also different.
I would have been happy having such a late Famo but not my friend and he destroyed his job.
Before starting one, I will/would carefully study at the modifications. This study will probably make understand why Tamiya never released a late Famo.
Cheers
Eric

I guess this one is an early model :
http://www.armourworkshop.ca/gallery/album.php?album_id=261
and this one a late model :

Another late model :
http://www.primeportal.net/transports/john_griffin/famo/
This one appears to be an "early" late model with shortened (not flat) front fenders :

You can also check with Real Model to see if they still offer the conversion (RMA 35057).

Real Model site shows it as in stock in the accessories section.
