Here is a link to my finished Sherman. I wanted to make the landscape as if it was late spring, after the snow melts and there is a ton of mud and dirt.
Feedback is greatly welcome!!!

That's nice and messy! Did you make the sandbags? From the critic's angle something I noticed is the gravel in the roadway. If it's real muddy it's unlikely that gravel/rocks will stick out like that. If they were mixed in with your mud they'd make some good texture. Just a thought for down the road!

That is true about the gravel. Thanks.

Spring time in the mud is what you achieved. Very consistant very nicely done on the weathering.
The photos are bit shiney, my guess is that the gloss appearance is photo only.
One thing you need to be careful of is to keep the sandbags out of perascope view. The drivers side is fine, but the co-drive is going to have a hard time seeing or exiting.
I like the grass and the mud, the off balance position of the figures really adds to the 'motion'. I'd say you've got a piece to be proud of.

Question/comment...The middle guy, the one running with the BAR, is he dropping his gun or did you add a strap? As it is, the gun is not in his hand.

Thanks. I do need to apply a matt finish to get rid of the glossy look. I forgot about that.
The guy in the middle is carrying his gun. It is a larger machine gun with the handle. He is holding it by the handle.
I did actually make sure the driver can see. It is hard to see from the photos but I left room not only for the two openings but also for the two view openings.
It is not my best work. I was rushed a bit since we were moving and all. I know I did overdo it with the mud. Live and learn though!!!

Well, the green grass was just the green stuff you get at the hobby store. Just laid some clear landscape glue down then sprinkled it on. The tall yellow grass is bought from the hobby store as well. I just cut it down to size then used white glue and stuck it in.

Soak them in warm water for a good day. Then, just take them out, let them dry for about 30 min then start to place them on!!
Thanks for the feedback guys. I only get to do about 2 models a year so I need all the help I can get!!
