Hi Guys. It is very close (days) to two years since I last finished anything, because of work and life, and to put it bluntly it sucks. I did bits around Christmas but have been pushing more and more, trying to get back in saddle agan.
Anyways, below are some images from my new diorama, titled "No room at the Inn". More images and text can be found on My Blog. I spent today adding further details to the Sd.Kfz 265 and preparing the figures for painting. Comments and critic are welcome.

Hi Frank,
looking good so far. Nice figures and I particularly like the early tank. The ruined building looks to be developing well.
Cheers

Brilliant base composition- the rubble and the hotel facade with the lettering look great. Figures and tank look very promising too.

Very promising start into that little scene Frank!!
Figures, tank and building look great and convincing!! Well done indeed!
If I may I would question the lettering as being too modern, but it's your choice!
Looking forward to seeing progress on this one!!
Cheers

Looking good so far. I like the setting...
I know how it is with having very little time for the hobby. But if you manage to do at least one small session a day, it should keep you going. Even 10 minutes staring at your model works well.

Thanks very much guys for all your comments. Im determined to keep at this time.
Never thought about it like that actually. Ive trawled a lot of sites over the years looking at 40s architecture of the time, and I get shocked all the time as things look so modern. So modern, that it doesnt fit with the image in my head of how it should look. I wont change it now, because it would mean a stop. Iīll try to keep the painting plain so it doesnīt look any more modern than what it is.

Looking good Frank,
Not sure what "hot" is reffering to,but I don't want to comment on a WIP.The progress will show your idea of the finished dio.

Hey Frank, good to see you're alive and kicking still. Same problem with me. I sat the other day and figured it was 2 years since I finished anything. Health and meds do get in the way plus a lack of get up and go. I do like your figures. At first look, they seem ready to duke it out with the inn keeper. Then scrolling down it all fell together. A small so called simple vign. sometimes is the right way to get out of the builders slump. Small enough to not drive you nuts yet enough detail to keep you busy. I have front row tickets to your show, and all ready for the next showing. bob d.

Hi Tom. As Eric said ... its hotel. My idea was the sign was also damaged with the blown wall. If you look at the third image of the base ... the "E" is actually laying in the rubble.
Bob... hope youīre well. It sucks that health issues are keeping you from your modelling. I miss your work as well.
Thanks again guys for taking the time as well as your very kind comments.

The image below shows a slightly clearer image of the ruibble ...see the "E" in the rubble. When I bought the letters, they actually didnīt have any "L"s. Any other letter and this idea wouldnīt have worked

Hi Frank - looks like you've got a nice project underway! The letter on the sign is pretty clever! Or should I say, letter in the debris - looking forward to following

Good to see you back Frank. Your works are always unique and crisp. How come we always have less and less time for the things we really like to do
Cheers!

Tom. Its not a problem. In many ways Im glad that this coms up as I was a bit worried that the "HOT" would be missunderstood. It only highlights the fact that i need to highlight this in someway. The "E" will be partly hidden behind the panzerkleiner.
Thanks very much for your comments Nick, Russ and Rick. Rick .... if I could answer that, I would be the most popular modeller ever!! Its a common problem.
