Really very good. The only comment I would make is that the skin looks a little shiny to me. Perhaps it is a factor of the flash photography. Good job on the uniform. It looks worn in the right areas (seat and elbows).

Sushi,
I have nothing to say buy offer you my sincere congratulations on a job well done, I see you had improved the belt for the MG as well as rough up the face a little, the rivet review really worked to your advantage.
this is one awesome job, and way betond my capacity to pull off.
You should be proud.

Lord Sushi:
As the others have mentioned, your fig is really really well done. You incorporated a suggested revision regarding the lay of the shoulder sling, and have added the beard since your last post.
The canteen kit/cup is really a beautiful job, as is the weapon itself. Just great work on your part here. The simple base with the sprigs of grass is a nice little display surface for this fig. Well done sir!!!

Hi Octo, that is i good job you have done there, just a couple of tips, the Iron Cross paint it black and go over the edges with a pencil, the same with merit badge and buckle, its a lot easier than using a brush, try and blend the five o'clock shadow in to the face and watch out for that mold line down the sleeve, apart from that, nice one.

Well done, but you need to flatten the sheen of both the skin and the clothing as they are too glossy. Skin should be more of a satin finish, while the cloth should be flat.
Hope this helps,
Scott Gentry

Hi guys,
Thanks again for all your comments and I am really appriciated it. All your comments will help me improve my skills.
About the sheen looking, I will try to spray a coat of clear flat on it.
Arthur: I am always confused with 5 o'clock technique, can someone tell me more about it and how to do it?
Andy: the grass is from Woodland Scenics.

Andy, the way i put in the five,o' clock shadow is to do it when the paint is still wet add a touch of grey in a line down the jawline and stipple it in,don't try and draw the brush up or down, but dab it,as for the sheen,i paint in oils, and sometimes, depending on the colour it comes out with a sheen,to be quite honest it is something i don't bother about,if you are happy with the result,as you should be,just take pleasure in the hobby.

Very nice job bro! I recall everything said in this topic. My only comment would be that you did not properly remove a seem line in the left arm. Maybe you wanted it to represent some kind of line in the sleeve of the jacket. For the rest, an outstanding work.
PS.: Did you use chalk for the partially grown beard?
Regards, Zver

its a very nice work though i a m not a figure painter (but i wanna be !!!) but after 23 years of modelling i think i can have an opinion. The only thing i could ask is that looking at the unshaved face and probably guessing that the guy is in full war condition the uniform should be a lil more worned up? i mean discolouredf dirty, or a lil damaged? and also i believe that the flesh besides the supposed in picture shiny look should be a lil dirtier? i presume that in wartime nobody has the time to clean up properly .
