Hi
I'm looking for reference picture's & information on the Dodge WC54 that were used to transport explosives.
I've managed to find 1 photo but very poor quality. I also need to know what colour was the Band that went around the body painted & the Lettering also.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Shaun

Hi Shaun

Maybe these two threads should help :

http://dodgewc.frbb.net/t12118-bomb-disposal-service

http://maquette-garden.forumactif.com/t20902-dodge-wc62

This diecast British Army Bomb Disposal Service WC-54 is apparently (and basically) painted as per the instructions given in the first of the threads above :

My dad served in the EOD. According to him, the only thing special about EOD vehicles was the fenders being painted red. Except for the shop van, which would be a major conversion of a resin kit.

Hi
Thanks for the replies. Not quite what I'm after.
this is the only pic I've come across.

Thought it would be something different to build.

Here's a larger version of the picture taken on Okinawa Island in 1949 :

Talking about originality, what about this one ?

Howdy,

Just a my opinion, but my guess would be white stripe and red lettering over OD body color.

Hi Shaun

You're welcome

I guess you'll like this hi-res version of the original picture I've finally came across :

For good measure, here's the second picture in hi-res :

Maybe it's just me, but the lettering used on both trucks doesn't look very "military"
