Hi guys,
I would like to know what would be the colors of the Type 95 during WWII.
I would appreciate also if someone can provide me with Tamiya and Gunze acrilics references.
Thanks in advance,
Angel

It depends on what part of the war and what specific area. Japanese camo evolved over the war. Mr. Hobby has two excellent sets for early and late war paints but, if you can let us know what period you're looking at, we can give you equivalents.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your help.
I have dragon's early type 95 and don't know for what time frame it can be done. Japanese armor is not my speciality.
Best regards,
Angel

For the basic three color scheme with the yellow stripe, Tamiya Earth as the base coat, with dark green for the second color and a mix of red brown and blue about 70/30 to get the very dark brown color. I used flat yellow for my disruptive stripe. It was much too bold. Fade it with some buff, 50/50. There are some other color variations you can find if you search online, or with the search bar above. The early Ha-Go was in service from the late 1930s until the end of the war.

Angel,
Since you're in Spain, you really should pick up the new Vallejo IJA Colors Set. It's an amazing assortment of ready to airbrush highly accurate IJA vehicle colors with a short reference on the back to guide you on what ones to use. Very highly recommended.

Thanks Russ and Matthew.
Right now I am in Spain but I don't think for a long time. I just returned from China and my feeling is that I will be abroad soon.
Best regards,
Angel
