Henk

No site yet but it should be up shortly.

About 3 - 4 months away from being ready for production as we are also doing the 1/72 Westland Lynx AH.1 Gulf War upgrade set.

To go with the models I am looking to produce a decal sheet and am looking for reference of the following:

British Army Bushmaster pictures in Iraq and Afghanistan
Danish and Dutch Army pictures
Colours schemes and paint reference

Australian Army ACCO truck pictures from Vietnam and also general pictures/marking in service

New Zealand Army LAV-25 pictures/markings and clours

Also looking for pictures of Norwegian Army Special Forces G-Wagon and scale plans/photo of Australian Army SAS Land Rovers and Australian Army/Canadian Army Stalwart details.

Lastly, anyone know a good figure maker as looking for 1/72 scale figures of Australian/New Zealand/British SAS in Afghanistan/Iraq and also Australian Army in Vietnam?

Thanks

Gary

Australian or New Zealand Army ASLAV-25

New Zealand does not use the ASLAV-25 or the LAV-25.
They use the LAV III.

So whats the differences between the ASLAV-25 and the LAV III?

It would be good to do both versions.

Hi Gary
Your prototypes look really nice. Also I am building mostly WW2 stuff, the Abbott and Land Rover are veeery interesting.

BTW. what is wrong in Land rover pic? Measurements or scale 1/72
I guess a Rover is in reality longer then 2m.
I hope scale is correct

These are not "versions". These are completely different vehicles.

I think the pictures of the Land Rover as just not quite right.

It will be 1/72 scale when finished though.

If that Landy is a Series 1 then 28 mm is fairly close to the wheelbase ;-)
"Land Rover entered production in 1948 with what was later termed the Series I. This was launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show. It was originally designed for farm and light industrial use, and had a steel box-section chassis, and an aluminum body.
Originally the Land Rover was a single model offering, which from 1948 until 1951 used an 80-inch (2,000 mm) wheelbase and a 1.6-litre petrol engine producing around 50 bhp (37 kW; 51 PS).
"
80 inches gives 28,2 mm for 1/72 scale

The Series II SWB had 8 inches more wheelbase:
"The successor to the successful Series I was the Series II, which saw a production run from 1958 to 1961. It came in 88 in (2,200 mm) and 109 in (2,800 mm) wheelbases (normally referred to as the 'SWB' and 'LWB'). "
88 inches gives 31 mm in 1/72 scale (29 mm for 1/76)

Robin

The kit will be the Series III SWB and will come initially with canvas top will rolled up sides/back and canvas down.

We will also be producing the Australian Army version which had modified wheel arches from our research to date.

Thanks for your help.

I was going to point out that the pictured Landy was a Series 3 and not a Mk 3, but this has been done! It looks great, but it's the International that I shall really look forward to. Have applied for a new mortgage!

Chris

Incidentally, the SWB Series 1 Landy came in 80 inch (Mk 1), 86 inch wheelbase (Mk 3) and 88 inch wheelbase (Mk 5). Not much difference in overall dimension between the last two though.

Hi Gary
My name is Neil Watson and I live in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. I am building a 1/72 model of HMAS Sydney, Aircraft Carrier/Troop Transport. I am chasing models of the Landover and ACCO Truck to use as deck cargo. I note the excellent models on this webpage, well done. Could you please advise how I may purchase these items

On the photo the bar implies a total length of 28mm, which is obviously more than the WB. I scratchbuilt a 1/76 one years ago and it was much wider than 13.5mm, so in 1/72 it should be even larger.
