It is more quick than expected but some new 1/35 releases from Blackdog called: "Soldiers in Crimea 2014 Little Green Men" Offered separate or as a set!

There's Black Dog bang up to date as usual, nice looking figures but how the hell are we supposed to paint that!
Don't like the idea of decals, a stencil might do it. Piece of net curtain maybe?
Whatever it'll be intricate.

This is the big problem with the new camouflage,the digital pattern is a really difficult beast to depict,and it has also a wide diffusion,at least in the modern conflicts...the only solution is an all black suit for a generic SpeOps operator...but you lost all the realism of the figure....I hope to have a dedicated decal set for this kind of thing.

One could replicate it by stabbing the figure with the end of a small stiff paint brush. The bristles will leave little marks that are about to scale.

Have you tried it? I would suspect the pixels would be more like voxels... meaning the ammount of paint on the bristles would make tiny droplets which could make uneven and irregular surface?

Oops, you might be right....with acrylics!! Sometimes I just forget that!!
I imagined little paint on the brush that would penetrate the base coat. It works perfectly well with enamels.

I tried it on USMC MARPAT on 1/35 scale with acrylics and the results came out OK. The main issue is getting the dots to separate as they tend to clump together when using a brush.

Or one could use a fine point marker and make the dots that way.
