They look nice, but should be called Green Polite Men...

A timely figures set, and nicely cast. They should find places in many dioramas.

The figures look nicely sculpted.. Can they be used to represent either Pro or anti Russian forces (or militias)?

I'm no expert but they appear to represent polite men aka "Russians" as seen in Crimea outside the airport and what are now former Ukrainian military bases.

Thanks, Erik.. so these are basically Russian soldiers, not Ukranian?
What's the meaning of this name "Green polite men", anyway?

This has probably got to be one of the fastest turnaround times for producing a figure set...all in the span of a month or two of the Real World conflict. Alas, if only other companies were that fast to make kits.

Hey Hisham, check out Vice New's Ukraine despatches on YouTube... Lots of good footage of these 'not Russian' Russian troops. They were in green digicam uniforms without insignia, didn't speak to media, and widely considered to be spetznaz out of the Black Sea Fleet. IIRC.

I think figures of these guys were inevitable. I didn't expect Blackdog to do them though, not that I'm complaining. They look excellent.

I don't see any politeness with the Russians, it seems they are thugs and stand over merchants on breakaway states that that don't want communism anymore! It's a shame professional soldiers (FSB, Spetznaz...whoever) are being put in civvie clothes and act like two bit punks taking over Police stations, bases... Oh that's right, they are just pro Russian supporters packing the latest SVDs and AK's....
Anyway that's my opinion.........they are great figures though!!!!

Nice figures. They depict the antiquated equipment perfectly and it should be easier to paint the face due since they hid behind the balaclavas.

Dear RECON22
All conversations on communism in Russia are irrelevant more than 20 years. To speak about them it is also actual as that "Rule, Britannia, upon the sea".

Dear Dmitri, it doesn't matter how you call it communism or whatever..it does matter what russians do. So that i can call russians communists or even Nazis here in Ukraine.

OMG this is a modelling forum! Keep your politics outside. Those are miniature figures of soldiers. Strange one complains about modern russian soldiers as figures but not when, for example SS figures are released. At the end its just modelling so relax and stop this annoying russia-bashing here, its the wrong place.
Nice figures, already ordered them. They look badass, in scale and reality. Will look awsome on a dio with a GAZ Tigr.
Bring more of them!
Best regards,
Andreas
