It was a great show. This year the organizers had their hands full with workshops... some of the big names in modeling were there giving seminars: Adam Wilder, Chris Jerrett, Fernando Ruiz Ceano, Jaume Ortiz, Jorge Lopez, Kamil Feliks Sztarbala, Miguel Jimenez (Mig), Pere Pla, Péter Horváth, Radek Pituch...

Who did the diorama of the Somalia pirates in the boat and the 1/35 USMC Sniper/Spotter? Will those be kits or were those scratchbuilt?
Thanks for the photos, Mario! There were a lot of nice models represented. Was there any Sci-Fi or auto sections?

Thanks for posting these pics! It would be a fascinating experience to go to this show in person. I've seen pics of the previous 3 or 4 shows and have always been knocked out by the quality of builds there.
Any idea of what the total entry count was this year?

The count was about 1200 models in 2013, with the similar number of models entered this year only via the internet... so I guess the complete number this year is much bigger.
The Somali Pirates were done by Stefan Beck (Austria). Not sure who did the sniper/spotter vignette.
As for auto and sci-fi sections... yes, there were models in that category as well, it is just that I didn't take any photos.

It is in Hungary, at the town of Mosonmagyaróvár, in the north-western corner of the country, close to Wienna and Bratislava.

Sounds good! If you manage to bring Mike Rinaldi next year, I would be a happy camper.

Hello Ralf,
Lulu was scratchbuilt by a hungarian guy called Andras Szalai. If you had any question just send a mail to him:

Thanks for the answers, Mario.
I am interested if there were any new upcoming and scratchbuilt Sci-Fi kits at the show. I know most Sci-Fi kits come from Asia...would be interesting if any are coming from Europe.
