Hey everyone,

Just a quick question. What ammunition pouches would German soldiers have used with the G43 rifle?

Thanks.

There was a dedicated G43 mag pouch:

Dragon Gen2 figures probably have the best moulding in plastic of these pouches.

Many thanks, I hope there are some included with the kit!

Presumably the Kar98k pouches could not hold a G43 magazine?

I think I read somewhere that guys with the G43 would normally have one special G43 pouch like in the link in the previous post and a second standard Kar98 one. Take a look at the guy with the panzerfaust in this Dragon set, for example:

If I understand correctly, the Kar98 pouches would contain loose rounds to reload the G43 mags.
Hope this helps.

It certainly does, thanks very much guys!

I'm building Dragon's 16th Luftwaffe Field Division (Normandy 1944) and thought I'd use the G43 on the spare sprue rather than a K98.

On a bad note, I'm very disappointed that the D figure's arms do not fit the MP40 with sling included, so I had to cut the pistol grip off of a spare MP40 and use that. Oh well, looks okay now.
